Diaper Care Instructions
Before first use of your new diapers, be sure to wash them in warm to hot water (not to exceed 90 degrees), then dry on high heat for about 20 minutes.
All natural fiber inserts must be washed and dried 5-6 times for full-absorbency. If the inserts do not include snaps, this time may be shortened by boiling inserts for about 20-30 minutes.
Other Care Instructions
1. Sankofa Diapers recommends spraying or rinsing all solids off your diapers before washing.
2. Always perform a cold rinse of the diapers before washing to remove all remaining particles and to prevent bake-in.
3. Wash diapers and inserts in warm to hot water (<90 degrees) using 1/3 of the manufacturer recommended amount of laundry detergent to extend the life of your diaper products.
4. Sankofa Diapers recommends performing an extra rinse cycle on diapers and inserts to remove excess laundry detergent. This will help prevent irritation from your baby's moisture later on.
5. Always dry diapers on low heat or line-dry (preferred) after initial wash/dry cycle.
